What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files of text, typically of letters and numbers, which contain information and are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They do a lot of things including helping us understand how our website is being used, letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving your browsing experience. Cookies also help us to identify other products and services which are more relevant to you and your interests.

What type of Cookies does the FBD Group use?

The type of cookies used on most websites can generally be put into one of four categories: Strictly Necessary, Performance, Functionality and Targeting.

In FBD we use Performance and Targeting cookies.

(a) Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential and allow you to move around the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas. Without these cookies, services you've asked for can't be provided. These cookies don't gather information about you that is used for marketing or remembering where you've been on the internet.

(b) Performance Cookies: These cookies collect information about how you use our website. For example which pages you go to most often, which Frequently Asked Questions are most viewed and if you get error messages from certain pages. These cookies don't gather information that identifies you. All information these cookies collect is anonymous and is only used to improve how a website works. These cookies are not used to target you with online marketing and advertisements. Without these cookies we can't learn how our website is performing and make relevant improvements that could improve your browsing experience. Performace Cookies that we in FBD use:

These cookies can also be used to remember changes you've made to text size, font and other parts of pages that you can customise.
